FIRST BANK SPOTLIGHT SERIES

When my partner and I purchased NRC we took over a company that had evolved as the major presenter of Broadway shows, dance attractions and name artists in the Northwest region for twenty years. We routinely booked over fifty shows each year so it was a logical move for us to solicit corporate sponsors who would share their marketing budgets with us and trade on their NRC partnership by garnering (receiving?) credit for bringing the shows to town.  Selling the show tickets in house was a valuable street-level activity that created new customers and a good community vibe as well.  

Soon after we took over Northwest Releasing Corporation I approached the corporate management of First Bank in Seattle and persuaded them to sponsor a series of shows under the banner “First Bank Spotlight Series”.  This created traffic and new customers in all their shops and they certainly enjoyed the premium House seats (show tickets) that we gave them as part of the deal. 

I was proud to be the person on point who originated and wrote NRC’s ““presents deal“ with First Bank. We did the First Bank Spotlight Series in the Seattle Opera House, Temple Theater (Tacoma) and in the concert hall in Spokane. The series and all the shows were a great success and I continued to produce these First Bank seasons of shows right up until the time I sold my stock in NRC.
