NRC VENUES
Many of the NRC attractions played the Seattle Opera House, Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver BC, New Auditorium in Portland and, on occasion, college theatre venues with similar capacities. The bigger box office events played the arenas (seating for 6k+) and coliseums (15k+). Attractions such as Crosby Stills, Nash and Young played to fifteen thousand people in the Seattle Coliseum. We presented Jimmy Hendrix and Janis Joplin in Sick’s Stadium which, I think, had a capacity of over forty thousand (it has long since been torn down). We were usually able to secure the right-sized concert halls, arenas and coliseums in all of our Northwest markets in the Sixties and seventies but now, all these years later, I suspect that open dates are very hard to come by.
